NICK the QUICK ... Withers 2nd Grade

Nick really does have fun when he practices. He is quick and has a knack for getting rebounds. His shot has improved drastically since the beginning of the season. His defense and intensity are also strong qualities.

Luke Martin - Center

THE DIRK ... TCA 2nd Grade

Luke always represents his favorite player. More importantly, he is a great rebounder and what we call a "put-back specialist". He keeps the ball above his head and puts it right back up with out getting blocked. He also uses his body well to defend the goal.

Alexis Perales  - Power Forward

MR HAPPY ... Withers 2nd Grade

Alex is always happy even when he is getting into trouble. He is tall and long and really is a good rebounder, shot blocker for the middle. He will surprise you from time to time with his offense.

Trevor Goosby - Power Forward

T-REX ... Lakewood 1st Grade

Trevor in true T-REX fashion is aggressive and does not know his own strength from time to time. He has a nose for the ball and is not afraid to do the hard work of the game. He is going to be a big kid with huge upside in every sport he decides to play.

Dan O'Toole - Power Forward

THUNDER DAN ... Luther School - 1st Grade

Thunder Dan, like Thor the God of Thunder, a distant cousin - The God of Basketball. Dan is a gifted player who can score easily and has a nice shot. He also is a good rebound and can run the floor very well. Dan is heady and a crafty player with a big future.

Luke Ormsbee - Forward

THE SPONGE ... Withers- 2nd Grade

Luke is one of those rare players who listens to EVERYTHING remembers and replays it on the court. Every practice he has improved. His defensive skills are one of the best on the team. He also is a good jumper. I have pics to prove it!!!!

Derrick Williams - Point Guard

D.J. ... Withers 2nd Grade

Love this kid. He is fast, decent dribbler and really likes to take the shot. As he gets better and learns the concepts - he could become one of those UNSTOPPABLE type of players. He defense is IN YOUR FACE and NON STOP ... Love it!

Landon Usry - Guard

EMO ... Withers- 2nd Grade

Landon is on of the best 2nd grade hoopsters I have seen this year defensively and offensively. If it is scoring or passing the ball up the floor - he has done EXACTLY as we have asked. My hope is basketball becomes his ONE true love.

Jonathan Diaz - Forward

THE GOOCH ... Wither 2nd Grade

Gooch studies the game, and learns every facet of the game before he reacts. Jonathan has started to react and it has been amazing. He is battling for rebounds and starting to take shots. He has really improved this season and is getting better every week.

Dylan Turner - Guard

DILL ... Withers 2nd Grade

Dylan is a fantastic athlete with great instincts. His eye hand coordination is far superior to that of most 2nd graders. More importantly the kid loves life and really enjoys being on the court. He has a great future in this sport.

Benjamin Hughston - Point Guard

Da FREAK ... Parish Eps. School - 1st Grade

No question the first time you see this kid you think he wont be able to play, FACT is, he's faster dribbling the ball than most kids are without the ball. He can dribble right or left and has a very nice shot. He has a huge upside.

Trent Williams  - Forward

CHARLIE HUSTLE - Withers 2nd Grade

Trent is a player whose motor NEVER shuts off. He gets his hands on the ball on defense and offense. He is tough, respectful, and aims to please his coaches. This kid will do great things in sports because of his tenacity, and attitude.
